I work internationally, but I am based in New Zealand currently.
Working predominantly in the film industry on large-scale films, such as ‘Mulan’ and ‘Ghost in the Shell’ with a focus on specialty costumes.

My approach to collaboration and design has been developed with my training and work in New Zealand. The Tikanga Maori principles are a unique feature of this country and have given me a clarity and uniqueness in my approach.

I’ve gained a competence working in a collaborative manner, be it in an assisting role, interacting with large teams or directly with clients. I also have on set experience working with the VFX department and have an understanding of the requirements and processes. This has proven useful as VFX and costume becomes a more and more collaborative process in film making, so that I have a proficiency in all phases of production from pre-production through to post-production.

I have a very international outlook and am able to thrive in different teams and work environments. I was originally born in Hong Kong and moved to New Zealand along with my family. I completed a bachelor of design for stage and screen at university (Toi Whaakari New Zealand Drama School). I still have a strong connection to Asia and Hong Kong.  I had the great pleasure of assisting the late Gregory Derham at ‘House of Siren’.

I have visualization skills that can be useful to a costume designer or wardrobe team. I have proficiency both digitally in photoshop and handdrawn artwork including painting and sketching.
